Features & Capabilities

A permission-less add-on that allows for quick downloading of screenshots of videos from (theoretically) any website! Unlike other similar add-ons, this does not require any site permissions and instead can only access a website when you click the add-on action button to take a screenshot.

Supports copying to the clipboard, or downloading as a png. Configurable in the add-on settings.

The benefit of a permission-less add-on is that you can be sure the add-on isn't stealing any data - not to say that other add-ons are unsafe in any way.

Because I made this primarily for my own use, I have not tested this against many websites. It should work for any website, but I have only tested with Youtube and Plex.

User Reviews

Fast and easy to use, much more consistent and self explanatory than other extensions I've tried. Not sure why the other guy gave 1 star.

Is Quick Video Screenshot Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
