Quick Proxy Firefox

Quick Proxy

By: Oliora
Quick Proxy allows to set up two alternative proxy configurations and switch between them with a click of a button

Features & Capabilities

Note that to use Quick Proxy, you must allow the extension to run in Private Windows (this is a limitation of Firefox’s security model). You can enable this during installation or later via Tools > Extensions and Themes > Quick Proxy > Details.

It’s recommended to pin the Quick Proxy extension to the toolbar for easy access. You can do this during installation (it happens by default) or from the Extensions toolbar menu.

After installation, set up your alternative proxy configurations on the Quick Proxy preferences page. You can access it via Tools > Extensions and Themes > Quick Proxy > Preferences.

Is Quick Proxy Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Quick Proxy requires very minimum permissions.

Risk impact analysis details
  • High Allows reading and modifying clipboard content, which can be sensitive, posing a moderate privacy risk.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Quick Proxy is probably trust-worthy. Prefer other publishers if available. Exercise caution when installing this add-on.
