Button to switch between system-set (off) and manually-set (on) proxy.

Features & Capabilities

Proxy Toggle is a handy Firefox extension allowing users to quickly switch between their system-set (off) and manually-set (on) proxy configurations. It adds a simple toggle button to the browser toolbar, enabling seamless proxy control without navigating through complex settings.

The extension operates by utilizing Firefox's existing proxy settings located under Options > General > Network Settings > Configure Proxy Access to the Internet. Users set their preferred default proxy state by adjusting Firefox's settings with the extension disabled and then re-enable Proxy Toggle to maintain that setting on startup. Note that the add-on requires permission to operate in Private Windows (Firefox 67+). This tool is ideal for users frequently switching proxies for privacy or network testing purposes, providing an efficient and straightforward solution for proxy management.
