Gourdin

3D/2D OpenGL engine featuring a procedurally generated island

Features & Capabilities

This project is a 3D/2D engine developed under SDL and OpenGL for educational purposes.

The structure of the map is taken from the map generator of this tutorial: http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~amitp/game-programming/polygon-map-generation/

The graphics are taken from Age of Empires 1 & 2. I hope Microsoft won't mind as this project is non commercial and does not aim at being spread. I only put my work on the play store to show it more easily, but if I receive any request to withdraw it I'll do it as quickly as I can.

Any feedback is much appreciated. If that also gives you gamedesign ideas, tell me about it!

You could make it tribal and would be more pleasant

Idk which directions are you going with this app but so far it has a lot of potential and I love it. So few suggestion, can you make it a strategy game like Banish but with Battle Realms type of game play. Like make it a strategy war games where you need to build and protect your tribes against internal and external threat. Ps. A combination of farm2 games and strategy war would be good. Goodluck.
