Proxy CAPES Firefox

Proxy CAPES

Redirects pages to the CAPES Journal Portal's EZproxy and keeps track of your current session.

Features & Capabilities

Proxy CAPES rewrites the addresses of academic sites to the CAPES Journal Portal's EZproxy, giving you access to the content your institution subscribes to. For example, ieeexplore.ieee.org becomes ieeexplore-ieee-org.ez19.periodicos.capes.gov.br.

Features: - Open through CAPES: a button (or the Alt+Shift+C shortcut) toggles the current tab between the original URL and the proxied version. The same action lives in the right-click menu, which also offers "Open link through CAPES." - Automatic redirect: with automatic mode on, only the domains in an editable list get converted on their own, and every other site opens normally. - Institution login: save your CAFe institution once and sign in directly, without hunting through the whole list every time. - Session check: shows whether you have an active session on the proxy. - Diagnostics and Import databases: test your list using your signed-in session and suggest changes, always with your confirmation.

The extension does not collect or send any data to third parties. It only accesses periodicos.capes.gov.br to rewrite URLs and check your session, and it stores your preferences locally.
