The app work well and I use printer HP DESKJET 2700 SERIES
Ik heb meerdere Canon Lide scanners (de 110, 200 en 220). Ze komen allemaal voor in de lijst van SANE (en werken in de Linux Ubuntu-achtigen dan ook 'out-of-the-box'). Ze werken echter niet in Chrome OS. Heel jammer.
je kunt dan wel een scan met je camera maken, maar dat blijft ondermaats en toch behelpen.
Zonder goed kunnen printen en scannen blijft Chrome OS een besturingssysteem 'voor erbij'. Met de mogelijkheid om te printen en te scannen had ik het als hoofd besturingssysteem kunnen gebruiken.
EDIT: (een manier om toch je Canon of andere Sane compatibele scanner in je Chromebook werkend te krijgen)
Activeer Linux op je Chromebook.
Ga met Flatpack aan de slag en voer na elkaar in de Linux terminal de volgende commando's in:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install flatpak
sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
sudo flatpak install flathub org.gnome.SimpleScan
Daarna om te scannen naar PDF met een SANE compatibele scanner:
start Linux op je Chromebook op
verbind de scanner met een USB-kabeltje
Je krijgt rechtsonder een pop-up te zien met 'verbind met Linux' en druk daarop.
start Documentenscanner op in je Linux map in je menu.
