Playlist Guru Firefox

Playlist Guru

A place where you save gigabytes! Build and play video and audio playlists from any site. Detects HLS/DASH/FLV streams automatically, plays nearly any format, and can extract a video's audio straight to MP3. So much more to come...

Features & Capabilities

Playlist Guru turns Firefox into a real media player with two independent playlists — one for video, one for audio — that live entirely on your own device. Not only is it self contained but plays with other media players by our extraction tools.

🎬 Video Playlist

Add any video link manually, or right-click a video/link on any page → "Add to Playlist" Automatically detects HLS (.m3u8), DASH (.mpd), and FLV manifest links a page loads in the background — even when there's no visible <video> tag to right-click Plays HLS, DASH, FLV, MPEG-TS, and every format your browser supports natively (mp4, webm, ogg, mov, and more) Playback speed control, pinch-free zoom with click-drag panning, and an optional audio-boost/bass/treble enhancer Drag-and-drop reordering, filtering, shuffle, and loop Extract Audio: pull the audio track out of any direct video file and get a real MP3 — downloaded to your computer and added straight to your

🎵 Audio Playlist

Completely independent from the video side — keep music playing while you browse the video tab, or vice versa Supports every audio codec your browser can decode (mp3, flac, aac, m4a, ogg/opus, wav) plus live HLS/DASH/FLV radio and internet streams Full transport: seek bar, volume, speed control, shuffle, loop, prev/next, Export, anywhere

Both Players

Can export to a standard .m3u file (with titles intact) that opens straight into VLC, Winamp, foobar2000, and virtually any other media player — or a plain .txt list of URLs if that's what you need instead. Built for real streaming sources Playlist Guru works great with direct-hosted files, Internet Archive, Icecast/Shoutcast internet radio, podcast enclosures, and your own hosted media. It does not, and cannot, bypass DRM or signed/session-locked URLs from platforms like YouTube, Spotify, or SoundCloud — those services deliberately design their stream URLs to not work outside their own player, and this extension respects that.

Privacy

Everything is stored locally on your device. No analytics, no accounts, no data ever leaves your browser except to fetch URLs you explicitly add. Full privacy policy included with this listing.
