PitchShifter changes the musical pitch of any video or audio playing in your browser, in real time, without changing the speed. It can also change the speed without changing the pitch. Handy for musicians transposing a song, learners slowing speech down, or anyone who wants audio in a different key.

Private by design

  • No account, no sign-in, no tracking, no ads.
  • Collects no data. Everything runs locally; nothing is ever sent anywhere.
  • Your settings are saved only on your own device.

Plug and play

  • Click the toolbar icon and move a slider. That's it, no setup!
  • Works on any page with audio or video, including YouTube and sites with strict security policies.
  • At a neutral setting it gets out of the way completely, with zero added latency.

Controls

  • Pitch: -12 to +12 semitones.
  • Microtones: fine tuning between semitones.
  • Speed: 25% to 200%, keeping the pitch intact.

Built on the SoundTouch time-domain engine for clean, natural-sounding shifts.

Is PitchShifter Safe?
