PitchShifter changes the musical pitch of video and audio playing in your browser in real time, without changing playback speed. It can also change playback speed while keeping the original pitch.

Great for musicians transposing songs, singers and karaoke, language learners slowing down speech, or anyone who wants to hear audio in a different key.

No account or sign-in required.
No analytics, tracking or ads.
No personal data is collected.
No audio or browsing data is uploaded anywhere.
Audio processing happens locally in your browser.
Your settings are stored only on your own device.
Manifest V3 lets you control which sites PitchShifter can access.

PitchShifter needs permission to access a page so it can detect and process the audio or video playing on that page. That access is used only for the extension's functionality — not for collecting browsing data.

Click the toolbar icon and move a slider. No setup required.
Works with YouTube, Spotify Web and other supported browser media.
Compatible with pages using strict Content Security Policies.
Your settings are remembered automatically across page reloads.
At neutral settings, pitch processing is bypassed.

Pitch: -12 to +12 semitones.
Microtones: fine-tune pitch between semitones.
Speed: 25% to 200%, while keeping pitch intact.
Reset: instantly return everything to the default values.

Built on the SoundTouch time-domain audio processing engine for real-time pitch and tempo shifting.
