uBlock Origin Extra is an optional companion extension to uBlock Origin that allows users to foil early hostile anti-user mechanisms working around content blockers. It helps prevent third-party servers from disguising network requests as first-party requests, including the writing and reading of third-party cookies. The extension has no interactive UI and can be enabled or disabled easily.

Works perfectly and updated frequently. I like all the custom options available so you can choose exactly what is blocked. I haven't had a problem with most news websites which are usually good at detecting ad blockers.
