Overleaf Comment Exporter

By: nmady Add-on
Export Overleaf review comments to CSV or XLSX with one click. All processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is sent to external servers.

Features & Capabilities

Overleaf Comment Exporter lets you save all review comments from an Overleaf project as a spreadsheet file, without leaving Firefox.

What it does

  • Reads the review comments visible in your open Overleaf project tab.
  • Exports them as a CSV file (opens in any spreadsheet app) or XLSX file (Excel-compatible, with formatting).
  • Each row contains the thread ID, reply number, author, date, comment text, highlighted text, surrounding context, and character position in the document.
How to use it
  1. Open an Overleaf project that has review comments.
  2. Click the extension icon in the Firefox toolbar.
  3. Choose Export CSV or Export XLSX.
  4. The file downloads immediately.
Privacy

All processing happens locally in your browser tab. No comment data is sent to external servers, and no data is stored by the extension after you close the tab.
