What is prehabilitation?

The prehabilitation program seeks to reduce complications after surgery and accelerate patient recovery through changing habits.
Habits changes will be made in the following areas:

• Physical exercise: The increase in physical activity prior to the surgery is beneficial to accelerate the recovery of the postoperative period.


• Nutrition: A diet rich in protein and a change in diet can prepare the body to reduce complications after the surgery.


• Mindfulness: Mental preparation before the surgery large or small is important to reduce risks, containment of stress and normalization of the surgery can help before, during and after the surgery.
