Open Same Tab is a handy Chrome extension designed to improve your browsing experience by making links open in the same tab for specified webpages. Search engines often force search results to open in new tabs to keep you on their pages longer. With this extension, you can simply click the toolbar icon while on a search results page to whitelist the domain. Subsequently, all links on that domain will open in the same tab, giving you a streamlined and uninterrupted browsing flow.

Managing the whitelist is easy: visiting the same page and clicking the toolbar icon again removes the domain from the whitelist. The extension requests minimal permissions, such as accessing browser activity during navigation to match URLs, and displaying simple notifications when domains are added or removed.
