FIRSTCALC by Firstflex Cables is a free App providing Electrical Contractors, Designers, Electricians and Lighting Specialists with a variety of calculation tools to assist in sizing or selecting an appropriate cable.

In order to calculate the most suitable cables FIRSTCALC requires that load current, length, volt drop %, phase, fixed or flexing, core type and installation conditions are specified in Cable Selection, it then provides a results page with a list of the most appropriate Firstflex cables to meet those requirements.

The results can be saved to “My List” and stored there to be reviewed later and/or can be emailed on with an attached datasheet.

In addition to Cable Selection, there are other tools provided to calculate Voltage Drop, Length, Load Current, Motor Current and KVA to Amps.

A Chemical Rating guide is also included to provide guidance on selecting equipment for appropriate chemical compatibility.
