TrLAB: Tachograph Driver Card

TrLAB reads your own EU tachograph driver card with a USB card reader and shows your driving, work, availability and rest times as a clear chart – directly on your phone.

Everything happens on the phone. No account, no login, no server: your card data is never sent anywhere.

THE CHART
• One chart per day with the official tachograph symbols for driving, other work, availability and rest
• Each week in its own frame, Monday to Sunday, with the dates
• The country symbol recorded at the start and end of the working day
• Times in your phone's time zone – summer and winter time handled automatically
• Tap an activity to see start, end and duration; double-tap to add activities up in a floating box
• Pinch to zoom in on all days at once
• The 24-hour window for daily rest, reduced daily rests and 24-hour periods since the last weekly rest
• Weekly rest as its own line, and weekly and two-week driving totals

VIOLATIONS (subscription)
• Violations of the four basic rules in Regulation (EC) No 561/2006: driving time, breaks, daily rest and weekly rest
• Number of violations and severity (MI, SI, VSI, MSI) per rule
• Tap a violation to see it marked in the chart, so you can check it yourself

TIMESHEET (subscription)
• Every shift on the card as a timesheet in the app: start, end, breaks and net hours, in local time
• Correct a shift yourself: move start and end, cross out or add breaks, enter overtime and a note
• Enter hours without the card – workshop, warehouse, course – and holiday, sick leave and leave
• Weekdays without hours are shown, so nothing is forgotten
• Share timesheet: one tap makes an Excel file with a pay type column (ordinary, overtime, holiday …) and opens the share menu – e-mail, Drive, Teams or any other app
• The Source column shows what comes from the card and what you have corrected. Your corrections never change the chart or the violations

SUBSCRIPTION
The timesheet and the violations view are part of a subscription: 12 months paid in advance at half the monthly price, or monthly with no commitment. New subscribers get the first month free. The subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled at any time in Google Play – cancel during the free month and you pay nothing. The chart and summaries are free.

WHAT YOU NEED
• An Android phone with USB OTG (USB host) support
• A USB smart card reader (CCID) – connected directly or via an adapter
• Your own EU tachograph driver card

You can also import a .DDD file from your own card, or try the app with made-up sample data – no card needed.

ONE CARD PER PHONE
The app locks to the first driver card it reads, so nobody else's card can be read on your phone.

IMPORTANT
TrLAB is a guidance calculation of what is recorded on your card, for your own overview. It is not a legal assessment and does not replace a roadside check or your employer's analysis. Exceptions (for example ferry, art. 9) are not assessed. The driver is responsible for checking any violation.
