"Trusted News" is a handy Chrome extension that consistently evaluates the objectivity of news articles online. Powered by AI, it can identify personal views or bias present in the writing, ensuring users are more informed about the content they consume. This tool is primarily designed to analyze long-form articles. It may not work correctly on social media pages, tweets, or other short-form content.

Trusted News uses AI to assist newsreaders in evaluating the quality of the online content they read.
In its first release, it scores the objectivity for a selected article, testing whether it is written from a neutral perspective as opposed to a personal one. For example, phrases like "in my opinion" or "I think" are used by authors to reflect their individual thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. This model has been developed based on scientific research. Today this plugin works best on analyzing news articles, or what we call long-form articles.
For now, it does not work on social media pages, tweets, or profile pages.
It works best when you are on a tab with a specific piece of content, which doesn’t require infinite scrolling, e.g. the text is neither too short nor too long.
Used to work very well, however it seems to no longer function, possibly due to the Chrome update that affected adblockers and other related applications. Hope to have it fixed soon. Note: inspected the pop-up window that opens when you use the extension, it reports a file missing error, specifically DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for chrome-extension://nkkghpncidknplmlkgemdoekpckjmlok/css/bootstrap.min.css.map: System error: net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND. Hope this may help the developer fix it.
