Reason: With Chrome v116.0.5845.180 the complete suppression of the download tray popup does not work. I saved an image - and that one image was then shown as the download popup menu. Saved another one - now I had a two image download popup menu.
Most importantly, the key problem (KEYBOARD FOCUS) is not solved: The keyboard is now stuck in that stupid Chrome popup.
A POTENTIAL SOLUTION (no extension needed):
chrome://flags/#download-bubble
The "download bubble" developer flag allows you to return to the old style, where there's a bar at the bottom with all your recent downloads. At least it doesn't steal the keyboard focus.
