User Reviews

Users give split feedback: when RPC secret and port are configured exactly as documented the add-on works well and is highly recommended; however many report it simply won’t connect or is difficult to configure (address vs token confusion, restarts required). Recurring complaints include unreliable connectivity and occasional slow or interrupted forwarding of multiple links.
Pros
  • When RPC secret and port are set correctly, the extension reliably sends downloads to Motrix (many users report it works flawlessly).
  • Documentation/installation guide is helpful — following the docs or pasting the RPC secret/port resolves issues for several users.
  • Enables integration with the Motrix download manager so Firefox links can be forwarded to a dedicated downloader.
Cons
  • Many users report the extension fails to connect or “does not work” on their Firefox installations.
  • Configuration is confusing/tricky (RPC secret vs address, matching port); some users needed to restart Firefox or toggle Motrix standby to get it working.
  • Behavior/performance issues reported: slow transfer of multiple links (long timeouts), and forwarding can stop after cancelling a download.

Five stars! This extension works flawlessly for me. Don't be discouraged by negative reviews; most issues seem to stem from incorrect RPC setup. As user 'adamhybel' pointed out in their review, make sure your RPC secret and port are configured correctly, and it should work like a charm. Highly recommended!
