What is Authenticator?

Authenticator is a Chrome extension that generates two-factor authentication codes in your browser. It is a clone of the Authenticator App, but includes prefix support while copying the OTP code. This extension was built for personal use and later published. It is particularly helpful for users of sophos VPN, as it allows concatenation of the VPN password with the OTP code in the format (passwordOPT).

We were using sophos VPN which when MFA enabled ask for a password in the format ( passwordOPT ) which is VPN passwword has to be concatenated with the OTP. A bit weird but it was the only option. This upgrade helps us, and we can have prefix as the vpn password.
