User reviews

Users appreciate Twitch Multistream as a reliable way to watch multiple Twitch streams at once with chat support and customizable layouts. It offers better performance and less buffering compared to Twitch's native player. However, issues like needing to re-login after browser restarts, occasional buffering problems, UI inflexibility (such as fixed sidebars), and login errors detract from the experience. Despite these, overall users highly recommend it for Twitch viewers wanting to monitor multiple streams efficiently.
Pros
  • Allows watching multiple Twitch streams simultaneously with customizable layouts (vertical/horizontal).
  • Supports chat integration with BTTV and FrankerFaceZ emotes.
  • Provides a seamless alternative to Twitch's own player, reducing buffering and lag.
  • Simple and easy to use interface for managing multiple streams.
  • Good set of options on how to watch streams, including chat visibility toggles.
Cons
  • Requires re-login after browser restart; does not save Twitch login sessions.
  • Frequent buffering and playback issues reported despite improvements over Twitch player.
  • User interface limitations, such as inability to disable or customize sidebars and chat panel sizes.
  • Occasional login errors communicating with Twitch API leading to issues saving login.
  • Clickable interaction problems inside app limit volume adjustments and other controls.

Can't save the twitch login error given: "error communicating with twitch api". It shows a purple screen from time to time although i am logged in twitch.

excellent tool. i almost always just watch streams in this app even if its just one. twitches player is so bad now and barely every works without constant buffering. i wish whoever made this wonderful app, would make something to correct twitch player on the website so we can enjoy the actual site sometimes. excellent job. shame on twich for not having a fluent player that works. its always laggy and broke. the whole site is raggedy at this point.

Very good Extension I'm very impressed! there is a good set of options on how you want to watch the streams, with chat or no chat. Vertical or horizontal switch it up from side to side, I was even able to pull up about 6 streamers/streams all one go easy and simple. Best of all it even allows BTTV and FrankerFaceZ emotes too! all in one package, I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a high quality twitch application.
