Witty is an AI-powered assistant for inclusive language and behavior. With Witty, you not only create a more inclusive culture through language but also mitigate the risks of organizational bias that could lead to legal challenges in compliance with EU and US discrimination or AI regulations. Whether you’re communicating internally or externally, Witty empowers you to write and behave in a way that includes everyone, fostering an inclusive corporate culture.

How Witty Works:

  • Detecting biased wording: Witty highlights words or phrases that may exclude, deter or stereotype certain groups.
  • Micro-learning content: Witty provides micro-learning bites to explain the bias behind the word/phrase.
  • Real-time inclusive alternatives: Witty suggests alternatives that are more inclusive, without disrupting your workflow.
  • Spelling and grammar check: Maintain professionalism with built-in spelling and grammar correction.

Corporate Features:

  • Corporate vocabulary management: Store your organization’s inclusive language or corporate vocabulary in Witty. Ensure every team member writes with consistent language by making your vocabulary available to all users.
  • Bias detection across 50+ diversity dimensions: Witty analyzes language across over 50 diversity dimensions, including ethnicity, gender, age, and more. Organizations can configure which dimensions to focus on and the depth of analysis for each one.
  • Statistics on bias traps: Witty provides detailed analytics that highlight patterns of unconscious bias in your organization’s communications. This helps you detect and address bias early, reducing legal risk in compliance with both EU and US anti-discrimination regulations. Also, with Witty you can monitor outputs from LLMs such as ChatGPT or MS Copilot and detect biased wording therein. In Human Resources, this protects you against legal issues in relation to the 'EU AI Act' or AI guidelines in the US. Finally, these statistics can be used for reporting in compliance with the EU Corporate Social Responsibility Directive (EU CSRD), section «ESRS S1 Own Workforce», in effect from January 2025 for all organizations larger than 250 employees.
  • Languages: Witty is used by many international organizations. That’s why it is available in English, German, and now French, with Spanish and Italian coming soon.
  • Clients: Witty works wherever you work. It’s a browser extension that integrates with any web-based application like CMS, ATS, Social Media, or project management tools. It’s also a Microsoft Word Add-in for Desktop (Microsoft Outlook coming soon). And we are working on a ‘wittified’ Copilot extension.

This extension is my latest obsession! In the world of headhunting, I'm constantly in touch with people from all corners of the globe through email and messages. Your tool has been a game changer for me. It has seriously improved how I showcase people when presenting them and their profiles to hiring managers which is making a significant difference in breaking down biases during my submissions. The best part... It's become my go to for grammar checking replacing my trusty Grammarly app! This is a big deal for someone like me with dyslexia, especially when it comes to communication through messages. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏

Worst and most useless app ever
by Hamza Ahmad, 2023-11-25

I wrote two sentences to test the app. Sentence 1: "I am writing this mail to all the men in the company." Sentence 2: "I am writing this mail to all the women in the company" For the first sentence it underlined "men" in yellow and prompted that it impacts the visibility of marginalized genders. For the second sentence it underlined "women" in green and prompted that it strengthens collaboration and sense of community. I am failing to understand how can this be considered unbiased and accurate. The app clearly did not understand the context of the sentence and classified the usage of "men" as non-inclusive, whereas classified the usage of "women" as inclusive. If the app does not attempt to understand the context of sentences and in what capacity it is being used, for it to classify terms as inclusive and non-inclusive will remain highly inaccurate.
