Your tool has been a game changer for me. It has seriously improved how I showcase people when presenting them and their profiles to hiring managers which is making a significant difference in breaking down biases during my submissions. The best part... It's become my go to for grammar checking replacing my trusty Grammarly app! I wrote two sentences to test the app. Sentence 1: "I am writing this mail to all the men in the company." Sentence 2: "I am writing this mail to all the women in the company" For the first sentence it underlined "men" in yellow and prompted that it impacts the visibility of marginalized genders. For the second sentence it underlined "women" in green and prompted that it strengthens collaboration and sense of community. I am failing to understand how can this be considered unbiased and accurate. The app clearly did not understand the context of the sentence and classified the usage of "men" as non-inclusive, whereas classified the usage of "women" as inclusive. If the app does not attempt to understand the context of sentences and in what capacity it is being used, for it to classify terms as inclusive and non-inclusive will remain highly inaccurate. | |

Ich finde die Extension wirklich hilfreich. Gerade, weil man die Formulierungen leider oft nicht bemerkt. Auch wenn es eine Übertreibung ist oder eine ausschließende Beschreibung - Witty weist einen darauf hin. Finde ich super - weiter so! | |

Witty is the solution we have been waiting for so long! These days it is not enough for a top notch business to spell error free. Tonality and hidden bias tell people a lot about the company culture. I've only just started using this as an extension, but so far it's proving to be useful. It's handy in your native language, but I think especially helpful if you're writing in a second language - certainly worth giving it a try! |
