User reviews

Users appreciate Tab Manager as a lightweight and free extension that allows grouping and session management of tabs, helping manage numerous tabs across projects and tasks. However, many reviews report significant shortcomings, including inability to edit existing tab groups by adding or removing tabs, a cramped user interface, and occasional reliability issues in restoring saved sessions. While praised for its core concept and ease of use, users wish for improved editing capabilities and better interface clarity.

  • Enables synchronization across browsers when logged into Chrome account.
Cons
  • Lacks ability to add or remove tabs within existing tab groups; users must recreate groups to modify contents.
  • User interface has usability issues such as small box size and unclear icons.
  • Functionality is reported as unreliable by some users, with saved sessions sometimes failing to restore all tabs.
  • Missing advanced management features like editing tab properties or color-coding within groups.

One of the very few extensions that supports semantically splitted tab blocks that I would like to use, but where the drag-n-drop tab to existing block feature? Why the said blocks are immutable, which logic is that imply? That I, as user, must remove and re-create my "google stuff", "reading", "work" and so on blocks every time I need to add some tabs in that ones?

Unfortunately totally nonfunctional, lack of editing created tabs like add or remove another.
