Tvarka Sign

Tvarka Sign is an eID authentication and qualified electronic-signature app. Sign in to Tvarka and supported third-party services, or sign documents with your Lithuanian ID card over NFC or with Mobile-ID.

SECURE SIGN-IN
When you start a sign-in on a Tvarka website, the linked phone receives a notification. Check the website name and verification code, confirm with biometrics or the device screen lock, and hold the ID card against the phone. Supported third-party services may also begin pairing with a QR code. Your identity is confirmed with the card's authentication key, without sharing a password with the service.

SIGN ON YOUR PHONE
Tvarka Sign creates a qualified electronic signature when you hold a Lithuanian ID card against an NFC-capable phone. No separate card reader is required.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Register your card: enter the CAN (6 digits printed on the card) and your card PIN.
2. Pick a document: a file from your device, a photo, or a signing invitation you received.
3. Confirm with biometrics and hold your card against the phone. Done.

Card data is stored in your phone's secure storage and unlocked only with biometrics or your screen lock. The PIN is verified inside the card itself: the signature is created on the card and the private key never leaves it.

MOBILE-ID
In an activated Tvarka Sign workspace, or for a supported signing invitation, you can sign with Mobile-ID. The free personal plan uses a Lithuanian ID card over NFC.

LEGAL EFFECT
Under the eIDAS regulation, a qualified electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature and is valid across the European Union.

REQUIREMENTS
• Android 11 or newer with NFC (Mobile-ID works without NFC)
• Lithuanian ID card with valid certificates and PIN
• The card's CAN code (6 digits on the front of the card)
• For Mobile-ID signing: a Mobile-ID contract with your mobile operator

SECURITY
• Biometric confirmation or device screen lock before signing
• Encrypted connection to servers
• Document preview before signing
• PIN attempt counter with warnings
