Firstlight: Wake Up Alarm

Firstlight is the alarm clock that makes you prove you are awake.

Most alarms are too easy. You reach out, tap a button while half asleep, and go back to sleep. Firstlight does not let you. The alarm keeps ringing until you finish a real challenge, so by the time it stops, you are actually awake.

PICK YOUR CHALLENGE

Free challenges:
• Math — solve problems on a number pad
• Memory — watch a pattern of colours, then repeat it
• Puzzle — find the odd picture out
• Barcode — scan a barcode you saved earlier, on your toothpaste, your coffee jar, anything. You have to get out of bed to find it.
• Steps — walk a set number of steps. Shaking the phone does not count.

With Firstlight Pro:
• Push-ups, Squats and Jump — your camera counts your reps
• Dance — move for a set number of seconds
• Balance — stand on one foot and hold it
• Find Objects — photograph an object you saved, like your kettle or your shoes

RANDOM MODE

Do not choose. Let the alarm choose for you. Each morning it picks one of the challenges you turned on, so you never know what is coming. Waking up stops being a routine you can sleep through.

BUILD A STREAK

Every alarm you beat adds a day to your streak, with a flame that grows with you. Miss one, and it starts again. There are 54 badges to unlock, from your first morning to a hundred days in a row, plus secret ones to find.

YOUR HISTORY

See every alarm that rang, the challenge it asked for, and whether you beat it or slept through it. No hiding from yourself.

BUILT TO ACTUALLY WAKE YOU

• Rings even when the phone is locked or the app is closed
• Rising volume, and it will not be silenced by accident
• A backup challenge, in case a camera challenge cannot be checked
• Warns you when your phone's battery settings could delay an alarm

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Body tracking and step counting run on your phone. Nothing is recorded, and no video ever leaves your device. Your photos of your own objects stay on your phone too.
