| 2019-10-19 | Fi***** | I hate to give a bad review to a plugin without first giving the developer a chance to address the issues... but there is no issue tracking enabled on the project's Git repo. Thus... This container appears to containerize LinkedIn, but it does NOT containerize or block LinkedIn tracking. The Facebook container (which LinkedIn container claims to be based on) disables the Facebook button on pages, so that Facebook cannot receive a link indicating you had visited that page. The LinkedIn container does NOT disable tracking buttons, and clicking on them allows LinkedIn to track how you arrived at LinkedIn. THIS IS BAD!!! Also, the LinkedIn Container does not add an icon to the menu bar like other add-ons. (Such as FB Container) The plug-in is a good start start, but not a lot of added capability over Multi-Account Containers, and definitely not as containerized and anti-tracking as it should be. Finally, in all fairness, several of the other containers based on FB Container have similar issues, and even the FB Container itself breaks in several places as well. (I have opened issues on FB Container for FB-C problems, and on the derived projects which have issue tracking enabled on GIt.) | |
