Tab watcher is a Chrome extension that monitors tabs for content changes and sends notifications when changes are detected. You can define the check interval and DOM selector to monitor. It supports live DOM check without page reload for Ajax content changes.

This is the only extension of its kind that actually works in Chrome. I tried Website Monitor, Visual Ping, Distill... none of them work as expected but this extension delivers. However it lacks a very important feature, sound alerts and as a result, it limps a bit. Also a DOM element picker would be desirable, but not having it is ok too. Otherwise a good one
