"Office Redirector" is a Chrome Extension designed to simplify your experience with Office files on the web and older versions of SharePoint. It changes links of MS Office files including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio into URI format. This alteration enables you to open these files directly from the web and SharePoint versions prior to 2016 (which doesn’t require it). After installing the extension, you simply add your legacy SharePoint site URLs to use it. Moreover, this extension preserves your configuration between browser restarts and is preparing for migration to manifest v3.

Very easy to use. Opens up any sharepont document without having to save it locally first. Also nice that it can be configured to not take up any space in the extensions bar.
