Kiriko Japanese Watch Face

WabiFace Kiriko brings the cut crystal of a Japanese glass workshop to your Wear OS smartwatch.

💠 CASED GLASS, CUT THROUGH
A thin skin of colored glass over colorless crystal, cut away in a dense diamond lattice so the clear crystal glows through wherever the groove runs deepest. Every facet returns its own highlight, the way a real cut-glass piece does when you turn it under a lamp.

🎨 FIVE TRADITIONAL COLORS
Ruri Blue, Copper Red, Moss Green, Purple, and Clear. The same cut in every one — only the cased layer changes, so the white glints on the facets stay white exactly as they would on the real thing.

✨ TILT SHIMMER
Turn your wrist and a band of light travels across the dial, igniting the cut lines it passes over. At the same time the pattern shifts against itself, the way the cut on the far face of thick glass slides against the cut on the near face — the cue your eye reads as depth rather than a printed picture. Switch it off in the settings if you would rather the dial sat still.

⌚ TWO COMPLICATIONS
Step count and battery by default, at three o'clock and nine o'clock, each set into a carved well cut with the same radial grooves as the dial. Four sizes including off.

🕐 TIME, YOUR WAY
- Applied gold markers, doubled at twelve

- A 12-hour digital readout above the center, in a baguette-cut aperture
- Date in a matching aperture below
- Four ink colors for every label: Platinum, Champagne, Copper, Jade

🌙 AMBIENT MODE
The glass is bright, so ambient mode drops it entirely rather than dimming it — a black ground with only the marker outlines and the hands, to protect the display and the battery.

🎨 DETAILS
- Diamond-cut markers whose facets catch the light from a single fixed direction, so each one sits differently on the dial
- A polished lip and the glass thickness reading darker just inside it, so the dial is a vessel and not a disc
- Complication wells and text apertures cut as facets, never as opaque plates — the pattern stays visible through them
- Inspired by traditional Japanese cut glass designs
