Jonot Display

Jonot Display turns any Android tablet, TV, or Fire TV stick into a dedicated waiting-room queue screen. It shows live queue status — now serving, next up, wait estimates — for customers to watch while they wait.

Designed for waiting rooms and lobbies in pharmacies, banks, clinics, repair shops, government offices, restaurants and any place that manages customers through the Jonot queue platform.

• Live queue display — now-serving ticket, upcoming tickets, and wait counts update in real time over WebSocket.
• Output only — the display never accepts input from customers; there is nothing to tap or type.
• Auto-start on boot — the screen powers on straight into the display after a power cut or reboot, no manager intervention required.
• Stays awake — the screen never dims or sleeps while the app is in the foreground.
• Immersive full-screen — system bars are hidden so the entire screen is queue content.
• Android TV and Fire TV support — works on tablets and touchscreen-less TV hardware alike, and appears on the TV home screen launcher.
• Automatic crash recovery — both the in-app content and the app process recover automatically after an unexpected failure, so an unattended screen never sits dead.
• Remote management — an EMM (Intune, Jamf, Esper, and similar) can push a display URL override or an auto-pairing code without a new APK build.

WHO IT IS FOR

Service businesses that already use the Jonot queue platform and want a wall-mounted screen or TV in the waiting area showing live queue status, in addition to (or instead of) a phone-based wait notification.

REQUIREMENTS

• Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer, including Android TV / Fire TV.
• A reliable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection — the display is real-time and requires connectivity.
• An active Jonot organization account at jonot.io with at least one location and one queue configured.

PRIVACY

The Jonot Display app is a thin wrapper around the display web app. It collects no personal data and accepts no customer input — it only renders queue status served by the Jonot backend.
