Jonot Kiosk

Jonot Kiosk turns any Android tablet into a self-serve queue check-in station. Customers tap to join a queue, the kiosk prints a paper ticket with their number, and they wait wherever they like — your phone tells them when it is their turn.

Designed for small clinics, service desks, repair counters, restaurants and any place where people used to stand in line.

KEY FEATURES

• Silent thermal-printer support — USB, Bluetooth or network ESC/POS printers print tickets automatically with no dialogs.
• Locked-down kiosk mode — pinned full-screen, the home, recents and status bar are disabled so customers cannot leave the app.
• Auto-start on boot — the tablet powers on into kiosk mode without staff intervention.
• Manager escape hatch — five-tap corner unlocks a PIN-protected manager menu for printer changes and exit.
• Offline-tolerant — short network drops are handled with automatic recovery; the screen keeps showing the most recent state.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

The customer-facing flow is the Jonot kiosk web app at kiosk.jonot.io. After joining, customers can either keep the printed ticket in their pocket and watch the queue display, or scan the QR code on the slip and follow their place in line on their own phone.

WHO IT IS FOR

Service businesses that want to remove the physical line from their lobby — pharmacies, walk-in clinics, banks, opticians, mobile-phone repair, immigration offices, restaurants, government counters.

REQUIREMENTS

• Android 12 (API 31) or newer.
• Tablet form factor recommended (10" or larger).
• An ESC/POS thermal printer (USB, Bluetooth or network) for paper-ticket output. The kiosk also works without a printer — customers see their ticket number on screen instead.
• An active Jonot organization account at jonot.io.

PRIVACY

The Jonot Kiosk app is a thin wrapper around the kiosk web app. The native app itself does not collect or store personal data; ticket metadata stays with the queue and is not associated with the customer's identity.
