Intentional Browsing Firefox

Intentional Browsing

By: Fabrial
Block the feed. Keep the signal. Visit on purpose. Block algorithmic feeds on popular social media platforms while preserving access to content you actually intend to see, such as messages and direct links, instead of mindlessly scrolling.

Features & Capabilities

Keep the social and specific links/videos part of social media sites so you can keep using them when you intend to without getting sucked into endless scrolling.

When you click on direct links to social media sites they will still work, it's just the homepages and feeds that won't.

There are settings for major social media sites to hard block the main page, soft block (i.e. the feed is empty), reroute to messages, and in the case of X/twitter default to the 'Following' page instead of the default 'For You' page. These are all settable/toggle-able.

Is Intentional Browsing Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Intentional Browsing requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Intentional Browsing may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.
