User reviews

Users appreciate Image Saver for allowing the saving of typically restricted images like SVGs and webp formats, praising its simple, lightweight interface. However, common issues include inconvenient multiple context menu clicks for saving, failure to remember the last save location causing extra effort when downloading many images, limited compatibility on some sites or browser versions, and occasional unwanted additional actions from the context menu. Despite imperfections, regular updates and helpful developer support contribute positively to user experience.
Pros
  • Allows downloading images that are otherwise difficult to save, including SVG and webp files.
  • Simple and user-friendly interface with context menu integration.
  • Effective on websites that prevent regular right-click saving.
  • Lightweight and efficient for quick image saving tasks.
  • Regular updates and prompt developer responses to issues.
Cons
  • Adds multiple context menu options leading to multiple clicks instead of one for saving images.
  • Does not always remember the last used save location, causing inconvenience when saving many images.
  • Fails to work on some browsers or specific sites (e.g., Aliexpress, Firefox 115 ESR).
  • Limited functionality when images are heavily tiled or behind complex website restrictions.
  • Context menu sometimes triggers unwanted extra actions like opening data URLs unnecessarily.
Recent reviews
I don't see the settings to disable cascade context menu and cannot return to the style which was before. Previously there was only one item in the context menu and it was very convenient, now you need to click several times to save the picture, it is very impractical when you save many pictures.
