User Reviews

Users praise Image Saver for SVG support, a simple lightweight UI, and handling some awkward formats. Major complaints, repeated across reviews, are unreliability (addon often doesn’t appear or work on many sites), limited value when it only saves images already downloadable, and usability requests for one‑click saving and keyboard shortcuts.
Pros
  • Downloads SVGs reliably (including some 'stingy' SVGs)
  • Simple, lightweight UI/UX — easy right‑click workflow
  • Works for some otherwise awkward formats (e.g., .webp) and on sites that allow it
Cons
  • Unreliable on many sites — several users report the addon doesn’t work or the context‑menu item doesn’t appear
  • Often only works where regular "Save image" already works; fails on tiled/protected images or complex viewers
  • Adds a submenu/extra clicks; users request one‑click saving and keyboard shortcuts

Doesn't work!!

I don't see the settings to disable cascade context menu and cannot return to the style which was before. Previously there was only one item in the context menu and it was very convenient, now you need to click several times to save the picture, it is very impractical when you save many pictures.

only works on sites where the regular image saving works too - what is the point?
