Image Block

Image Block adds a toggle button that conditionally blocks/allows loading of images on webpages. Blocking images results in faster browsing, especially helpful on handheld devices or slower connections.

Image Block is a straightforward Chrome extension that adds a toggle button to your browser, enabling you to conditionally block or allow images from loading on any webpage. Designed with simplicity in mind, it boosts your browsing speed by preventing images from loading, which is particularly advantageous for users on slower internet connections or handheld devices.

Originally created for Firefox and reimagined for modern browsers, Image Block maintains its core philosophy: keep it simple and user-friendly. Its one-click toggle avoids complex settings or filtering lists, offering a hassle-free way to control image content. Besides improving load times, it also helps users avoid unwanted or sensitive images on certain webpages, making browsing more comfortable in various environments such as work or public spaces.

However, multiple users report issues with the toolbar icon not appearing, inconsistent blocking performance, and lack of advanced features like whitelisting or domain-based controls. Don't see the toolbar button. Please show us how to activate this add-on in large and clear images. The images used now are 240 x 180, way too small to see anything. And show us where the button should be and how it should look like.
