Pinyinify

This extension replaces all Chinese characters with pinyin

Pinyinify is a handy Chrome extension designed to replace all Chinese hànzì (characters) on web pages with their pīnyīn equivalents. This tool is perfect for learners and readers who are not yet proficient in reading traditional or simplified Chinese characters but understand the romanization through pinyin.

With the addition of an easy enable/disable toggle button in version 1.3, users can conveniently switch the pinyin display on or off as needed while browsing. The extension leverages the UNIHAN database to accurately map Chinese characters to their corresponding pinyin. Open source and available on GitHub, Pinyinify is a helpful aid for anyone studying Chinese or engaging with Chinese content online.
