ReadLearner: Vocabulary Explainer

LingoReader is an AI assistant that helps you learn foreign languages through reading (https://www.readlearner.com).

You can simply open any web page in your target language and start reading, there is no need to import the article. While reading, you can select any unfamiliar words or expressions, so that a popover will be shown on the webpage, showing you a helpful explanation using simple words in that target language. This approach ensures maximum immersion in your target language and makes reading foreign language texts more effortless.

The popover has multiple tabs:

• Definition: see an easy-to-understand explanation of the selected text in the same language you're learning;
• Pronunciation: hear an audio pronunciation of the selected text and read accompanying textual pronunciation tips;
• Translation: see a translation of the selected text into your native language and in its current context;
• Images: view the image search results of the selected text to help you learn new words visually;
• Grammar: learn the most relevant grammatical information of the selected text, esp. the differences with your native language;
• Examples: get example sentences to better understand how a word is used.

In addition, the extension also gives you a popup window when you click its icon, which gives you the following functionalities:

• AI Dictionary: can be either monolingual or bilingual depending on your preference, gives you the best learner's dictionary definition;
• AI Chat: ask any questions related to learning your target language directly via chat to your personal AI tutor!
