Self-Destructing Cookies

Delete cookies when browser is closed or once the tab is closed to prevent tracking

Self-Destructing Cookies: A Privacy Chrome Extension

Self-Destructing Cookies is a privacy-prioritizing Chrome extension. It manages cookies in two modes - session mode and tabs mode. In session mode, it deletes cookies once all the browser windows are closed, thus effectively ending the session. Meanwhile, in tabs mode, it erases cookies tied to the current tab when it is closed, but only if there are no other tabs open from the same domain. This extension was brought to Chromium browsers by adapting the original Self-Destructing Cookies extension by Ove.

it does not work, I tested loggings on websites like facebook, gmails. and upon closing tab while still logged in and opening it up again I can still see im logged in...

Finally, a simple extension that does what I want it to - clear cookies on closing browser, with a whitelist that's easy to add to. I wish there was an option to have left clicking the icon add/remove from whitelist instead of turning the whole extension on/off, but otherwise it does its job perfectly. edit - unfortunately, at some point since posting this review, session mode has stopped working. Tab mode still works though.
