User Reviews

Aralon: Forge and Flame delivers stronger visuals and a true open-world RPG feel on iOS, with a robust class system and plenty of exploration. However, players frequently report bugs, a surprisingly short run time, and inconsistent controller support on iPad, along with a less-engaging story. Those who loved the original may appreciate the improvements, while others should be prepared for stability issues and limited control options.
Pros
  • Graphics are noticeably improved over the first Aralon game.
  • Offers a large open world with extensive exploration and many side quests for a mobile RPG.
  • Solid class system with meaningful skill trees and deeper combat.
  • Overall enjoyable and worth the price for fans of open-world RPGs.
Cons
  • Contains bugs and stability issues (glitches like falling through floors) and feels unfinished at times.
  • Short main game length; feels over quickly for a sequel and may seem overpriced.
  • Poor or missing controller/MFi support on iPad (Nimbus/other controllers often don't work).
  • Story is barebones or lacks depth compared to the first game.

This thing is held together with duct tape. Make sure you save often because you will definitely fall through the floor at some point. The game is a bit too easy. The dungeons are severely lacking and their layouts are so small and boring — the key to the door you need is one skip over to the next room, almost always. What frustrates me about this game is that I DID enjoy myself, and there is a solid foundation here for a mobile RPG. Unfortunately they just didn’t do much with it, really. I’d love to see them flesh out something bigger using this engine. P.S. This game is LEAGUES above Ravensword.

Not a bad game. Kinda hard at first if you go straight for the main quest instead of leveling up in caves and stuff first. The main thing I hate is that all the enemies sound exactly the same. Gets old hearing the Sam sound when killing enemies.

They don't make em like this anymore... 'nuff said. Its worth playing. Traditional open-world, 3D, RPG. Stats & class based. I shed a tear (figuratively,) as I reminisce on how videogames will never be the same as they once were.
