User Reviews

Inkpad Notepad offers strong cross-device syncing, robust organization options, and long-term reliability, making it a go-to for years of note-taking. The main downsides reported by multiple users are ongoing syncing reliability issues and a pricing shift from a one-time purchase to a subscription. For many users, the app remains useful, but persistent sync problems and price changes can undermine trust and value.
Pros
  • Cross-device sync and access to notes across iPhone, Android, and Gmail-enabled accounts.
  • Strong organization features like folders and locking, plus alphabetical sorting.
  • Reliable, long-standing app with a track record of not losing notes; easy to use.
  • Fast, lightweight notes app that keeps important information at your fingertips.
  • Free core functionality; usable without premium.
Cons
  • Persistent syncing issues across devices and updates (notes not syncing, disappearing, etc.).
  • Pricing policy changes: switch from one-time purchase to monthly subscription and price increases.

They try to shove AI down your throat I have to login each time I use it on the PC. However, I never have to login when I use it on the phone. Interesting. The current note moves to the top, which might be a good feature for some… But I prefer things organized, and within my control. This company acts like Apple in which it does not allow you to customize your own product. There are better, free alternatives that are not as buggy, but don’t make you log in, have customer support (this company has zero support) and are not making you bend over, forcing AI into you.

Done a lot on this for 10 years

I have been using this app for over a decade. Largely on android that entire time. It was really nice that when I switched over to iPhone, not only was I able to get the app here, but I could sync up to my account and I was able to save and access a couple hundred different notes I made all that time. I like being it being cross platform, its usability, and its overall reliability.
