Notes, to-dos, reminders, links, and iCloud sync are free, no account required. For your first 14 days the Pro extras are open too: voice dictation with AI formatting, the focus timer, the font and color packs, the Today layouts, and shared lists. Keep them with a subscription if they earn their place.

ASK SIRI, WITHOUT OPENING THE APP

Say "Add an item to Ink" or "Show my Ink today" and it happens. Every action works in Shortcuts and on the Action Button, and your notes and lists turn up in Spotlight search. Settings lists every phrase.

DATES YOU CAN JUST TYPE

Write "Dentist Friday 4pm" and Ink reads the date and leaves the title clean. A chip shows what it heard, so you can wave it off and keep your exact words.

DESIGNED LIKE A BOOK, NOT AN APP

Ink draws from print: warm cream paper, ink-dark serif type, the editorial details of well-made books. Every screen is something you'd want to look at.

WRITE IT THE WAY YOU MEAN IT

Bold, italic, strikethrough, underline. Big section headers. Checklists right inside a note, tap a line to check it off. The toolbar lights up to show what's active as you write.

REMINDERS, ONLY IF YOU ASK

Turn on due-date reminders and Ink sends one quiet notification on the day something is due, at the time you choose. Tap it and you land in the list. Off by default.

TO-DOS THAT REPEAT

Rent, bills, standing rituals. Set an item to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Check it off and it stays checked, then it comes back on its own when the next one is due.

A TIMER FOR SITTING DOWN TO WORK

Set 15, 25, 45, or 60 minutes and Ink keeps a quiet countdown while you work. Pop it out into a full-screen ring on iPhone, or a floating window on Mac. When time is up, a soft chime you choose.

LINKS BETWEEN YOUR THINKING

Highlight a few words in any note and link them to another note or list. A to-do can point at the note that says more. Marginalia, not a graph.

SHARE A LIST, KEEP IT IN SYNC

Invite another Ink user by email and share a to-do list. Check off, add, reorder, and both copies stay in sync. A quiet byline shows who added each item, and you manage who's on it right from the list.

LISTS THAT KEEP A LEDGER

Flip any list into Ledger mode and it keeps score. Type signed amounts (+$25, -$10, +200) and Ink totals each section, then the whole list. A budget, a grocery run, anything with a running balance.

PRINT, BEAUTIFULLY

Tap the printer icon on any list, ledger, or note and Ink lays it out for paper: editorial typography, page-break-aware, black-and-white by design.

CAPTURE FROM THE MENU BAR, ON MAC

Ink sits in your Mac's menu bar. Click it from any app, type or dictate a thought, and it lands on the shelf you choose.
