SAMi is a sleep activity monitor for caregivers and individuals who need to carefully watch for abnormal movements at night. SAMi uses a night vision network camera to look for unusual motion disrupting sleep. When an unusual event is detected an alarm is sounded. The display instantly switches to show video and audio. Within seconds, the caregiver can assess the situation and take any necessary action. All motion is also recorded for later review.

Recent reviews

The app/camera connection is awful. It rarely stays connected throughout the night (the whole point) and also doesn’t alarm when the camera stops connecting so we don’t even know that it stopped working. We’re looking into other options because the SAMi3 is so unreliable to keep our kid safe at night. The camera and app both need a lot of work to be worth using to keep a person safe especially for the amount of money it costs.

This is a great idea and a good start. Obviously they are successful because no one else does this. We are a week in and I can’t say that our sleep is better yet (still working on settings and stuff), but I’m hopeful it’ll help once we dial it in. That being said, the app is pretty poorly designed and clunky. It freezes when trying for format the SD card every time, is not intuitive in the layout and honestly looks like it was designed by a high schooler. They really need to invest a little bit of money into an app overhaul and this might be amazing!
