Features & Capabilities

GeoBallistics is a mobile ballistic calculator and range-management tool powered by the BallisticsARC solver. It merges rifle ballistics, atmospheric data, and GPS rangefinding into one app, supporting unlimited rifle profiles (PRO), online weather, and satellite-range-card workflows.

Four modes deliver targeted workflows: HUD for single-target fast setups, Chart for full-solution calculations, Map for satellite imagery targeting, and Comp for multi-target courses of fire. The PRO version unlocks additional rifles, chart exports, data saving/loading, and enhanced compatibility with WeatherFlow and Kestrel LiNK devices.

User Reviews

GeoBallistics is strong when stable, with highly accurate ballistic solving and deep Vortex ecosystem integration, plus cloud data sync. However, updates frequently introduce data-sync and data-accuracy issues, and stability can suffer with crashes. The UI is sometimes cumbersome, and reticle options are limited to Vortex. Overall, it’s a powerful tool for long-range shooting, but reliability concerns and limited reticle support curb its appeal.
Pros
  • Seamless integration with Vortex hardware and the Relay ecosystem, enabling smooth operation across multiple devices (Razor, ACE, Talon 10K).
  • Accurate ballistic calculations and reliable rangefinding, especially when used with Vortex hardware.
  • Cloud-based data syncing via a user account to preserve and transfer dope data across devices.
  • Comprehensive feature set with depth and useful ballistic corrections that appeal to long-range shooters.
Cons
  • Updates can wipe or fail to sync data, leading to data loss or missing profiles/dope when switching devices.
  • Ballistics data (velocities/holdovers) can become inaccurate after updates and may be difficult to edit.
  • Stability issues include crashes on launch and other reliability problems.
  • User interface can be clunky, with wasted screen real estate and unnecessarily many screens.
  • Reticle support is limited to Vortex options, with no support for other manufacturers and some reticle images not shown.

Updated the app twice in 3 days. Obviously there is an issue. All my data is gone from the app. It will not bring it over from the website. And the website has only my older entries. I’m not a competitor but enjoy shooting fairly long range. This app was pretty good before these updates. Back to square one Email asked me to update review. Still same rating. This app, on my phone, has gone from pretty good to horrible!!! Just tested its wind hold. Uh, what wind hold. Looking for another app as of now!

Velocities and holdovers have gotten ridiculously off and I am unable to edit or change them. Has worked fine until this most recent update. I’m not sure what medium they are expecting these bullets to be fired through but it must be similar to water given the velocity drop. There’s not a way to contact customer support that I’ve found. Regretting having paid for this app. It used to be good

Not sure what happened to all the velocities, but the app is not working properly. At 100 yard zero and shooting 300 yards, the app shows and elevation of 346 MOA and 145 MOA windage. Please look into this if you haven’t already. Looked at rifle setting velocity and it shows correctly in its setting. But when using the standard chart, velocity is not matching.
