User Reviews

Follow Up Boss is widely praised as a powerful CRM that can drive growth and efficiency, serving as a central hub for REALTORS. Users also commend responsive support and ongoing innovation, with solid mobile use and reliable call quality. However, reviews consistently flag stability issues—bugs, freezes, timeouts, and unreliable notifications—that hinder responsiveness. The mobile experience is uneven (notably iPad optimization) and many core features are missing or hard to access on mobile (tasks, call log, auto-dialer, sending files). VOIP/phone-number limitations and Zillow data privacy concerns are also recurring complaints.
Pros
  • Powerful CRM that can drive growth and efficiency, serving as a central hub for REALTORS.
  • Responsive customer support and ongoing innovation praised by users.
  • Strong mobile usefulness with reliable call quality and lead notifications.
  • Great integration with the main interface, enabling seamless workflows and team handoffs.
  • Widely regarded as a leading CRM for real estate with potential to boost business performance.
Cons
  • Persistent stability issues: bugs, crashes, freezes, and unreliable inbox notifications that hinder responsiveness.
  • Inconsistent mobile experience, with notably poor optimization on iPad.
  • Missing core features on mobile and limited web/mobile parity (tasks, leaderboard, call log, auto-dialer, sending pictures/files, viewing sent emails).
  • VOIP/phone-number limitations: cannot select which number to call/text and texting outside the app is blocked.
  • Privacy concerns about Zillow integration and data handling.

This is the single greatest piece of technology that I have ever used to build my business. It single-handedly took my company into six figure production. In just 1 year it increased my income by $18,000. I personally recommend FUB to everyone!

Follow Up Boss has some solid core functionality and, unfortunately, is still probably better than many of the alternatives in the real estate CRM space. But that says more about the market than it does about the app itself. The biggest frustration is the lack of basic functionality and reliability in areas that should be foundational for a CRM at this price point. There are frequent moments where you find yourself wondering, “Why can’t this do something so simple?” or “How is this still broken?” The Apple/iPhone app in particular has ongoing issues, feels buggy, and lacks polish. Notifications being down for nearly a week is completely unacceptable for a CRM platform that agents rely on for real-time communication and lead response. In real estate, missed notifications can literally mean missed business. There’s definitely potential here, and the platform does some things well, but the execution and consistency often fall short of what professionals need from a mission-critical system.

This is unacceptable for the top real estate CRM. I save the wife’s name as primary contact and husband’s name as related (spouse) contact. Now if I search within people on my iPhone app with the husband’s name. I get a search result but clicking it does nothing. I file a support ticket and they says it’s a bug but they don’t know when they will fix it and want to search by the primary name. I cannot believe such key bugs will not fixed within a finite timeline. I am looking for my next CRM within the next 3 month.
