User Reviews

Users praise the app for its simplicity and quick setup, but report several recurring issues: alerts often don’t play when the screen is locked or the user is running with music, making it easy to miss intervals. The timer can be unreliable, sometimes resetting or failing to count, especially during longer workouts. The free version is very limited and longer intervals require a paid upgrade. In addition, the spoken prompts are often quiet or monotone and difficult to hear in the background. Reliability and audible alerts need improvement.
Pros
  • Simple and easy to set up and use.
  • Straightforward timer ideal for basic interval workouts.
  • Apple Watch vibration alerts provide feedback without looking at the screen.
Cons
  • Audio prompts fail when the phone screen is off or the device is in a pocket, making alerts hard to hear during runs.
  • Timer sometimes resets or stops counting intervals mid-workout.
  • Free version limits minutes/intervals; longer workouts require a paid upgrade.
  • Voice prompts are quiet/monotone and hard to hear with background audio.

I love the simplicity of this app and it almost meets the need of what I’ve been looking for. Three things that would make this perfect: 1) a tabulation of total time of the workout you’ve created before getting started 2) announcements at the cool down period and at the congratulations screen, like the warmup and the intervals have (I put my phone in a running belt so if it doesn’t talk to me, I don’t know I’m at this point) 3) the ability to still announce when the screen is turned off. Right now, if I turn off the screen it will notify me visually but not over audio. And because I’m not looking at my phone while running, I have to keep my screen bright.

Would give 5 stars but only 2 options - run or walk. For longer workouts and choosing a run/walk/jog split it would be nice to change intervals based on set vs having just a set run or walk period. Still a great app!

I love the app . I just wish the prompts could still be heard when it’s minimized.
