2025-04-26	Pr*****	This app asked for credit card information, then billed my card, then said credit card information was invalid. It did this several times. My CC was good enough to bill but not good enough to use. What a rip off. It just wanted to charge without providing any services. It’s a scam. Look for the real app for the metro system and not this scam app.

2025-03-21	TX*****	The app is very limited and not ideal for use while traveling. No option to download system maps for offline use. Unclear and difficult to follow steps to set up an account. Limited instructions for how to use the app and move throughout the system.

2025-03-11	P1*****	I have topped up with my overseas card and it cancelled but I didn’t get my refund yet. $100 was the amount. I contacted in Sydney Central Opal booth and they said it will take 3 days to get the refund. I will wait 3 days. And if I don’t get my money back I will take steps. After getting cancelled I have topped up from the booth in person with my local card, still I can’t see my topped up amount in Opal app.

2025-01-06	Ad*****	Bemusing at best for 2025. You cannot use your iPhone as your Opal card (???). The app’s trip planner can’t find nearby stations nor match a partial station name. Google Maps does this trivially. All I’ve been able to do is register an Opal card, and hope that if I ever lose it then I can actually use this app to transfer the balance to a new physical card. Bonkers.
