User Reviews

Users praise ImageDrain as a free, browser-integrated tool that reliably downloads high-resolution images from Safari, preserving quality and saving time. When it works, it’s fast and handy for batch downloads. However, many reviews note that the app stops working after OS updates (iOS 26, 18, 15.5), with crashes, hangs, or freezes during use. UI glitches and missing features (like a download location option) along with performance problems handling very large images further undermine reliability. Ongoing maintenance updates are repeatedly requested.
Pros
  • Free to use and easy to access within Safari for quick image grabbing.
  • Maintains full-resolution/HD image quality when downloading from Safari.
  • Saves time and is a lifesaver for batch image downloads.
  • Delivers images directly without the need for manual screenshots or cropping.
Cons
  • Compatibility issues after iOS updates (e.g., iOS 26, iOS 18, iOS 15.5) causing the app to stop working.
  • Stability problems: crashes, hangs, or the app getting stuck (sometimes in settings) during use.
  • UI glitches: missing or hidden UI elements like the Share button in Safari (e.g., on iOS 14) and other reliability issues.
  • Performance problems when handling very large images (heavy batch processing) leading to crashes or unusable sessions.
  • Missing feature: inability to choose or change download location / store downloads outside the app.

Think only app I’ve been able to find that grabs majority of images from a webpage on Safari mobile browser. I guess only thing would be if it could do the same for Google Chrome mobile browser.

Used to be the best. iOS no longer uses call sheet in same way and app has ceased to function. Please update, please!

It doesn’t work in iOS 26, when I try to launch, it hangs my iPad and Safari crashes.
