There is no in-app option to keep the screen awake — you have to change your device's display settings manually every time. Bluetooth range can be a real problem from a tall mast. Several users (including myself) have found that connections from 12 m or higher are unreliable, which limits the sensor's usefulness for offshore or tall-rig sailing.
