User Reviews

Overall, users praise AudioPocket for enabling mobile sample creation and easy transfer to the Volca Sample, plus convenient file sharing across iPhone/iPad. However, recurring problems dominate: startup crashes, transfer and slot-management failures (including deletion and limited 100-slot mode), lack of updates, and inconsistent performance across devices. Many reviewers feel Korg neglects iOS software, leading to frustration and instability, especially with Volca Sample 2 compatibility. While the app provides a welcomed portable workflow when it works, the frequent bugs and slow or non-existent support dampen its value for most users.
Pros
  • Easy creation/import and loading of mobile-made samples to Volca Sample, enabling a portable workflow.
  • File sharing across devices is easy with Files integration when it works.
  • Simple, straightforward app that does what it advertises for basic tasks.
  • Supports on-the-go sampling without a PC.
Cons
  • Startup crashes and ongoing iOS compatibility issues; the app appears to be neglected in updates.
  • Transfer errors and slot-management problems (deleting slots, 100-slot limit vs. 200 slots, Volca Sample 2 issues).
  • Inability to edit samples after saving; limited feature set and editing options.
  • Poor support and lack of communication from Korg; slow or no responsiveness to user feedback.
  • Inconsistent performance across devices (some users report iPhone work but iPad failures).

i made the mistake of buying the sample version one and the sample version 2. i thought the second might have been fixed but no! both are virtually useless because they are both stuck with the terrible factory sound samples. there is currently no app any where old or new that will actually allow the samples to work as advertised. kong just took our money and ran. the audio pocket app won't record audio, or at least it won't save it after pressing the record button. and it also won't let work saved audio samples even though it will import them temporarily then lose them. there is no customer service tech support to even call to report this issue. very very disappointing from a potentially fantastic machine.
