User Reviews

Overall, users praise the nostalgia, larger keys, one‑handed use, good word prediction, and solid developer support. Recurring drawbacks include device compatibility/refund friction, inconsistent dictionary predictions, UI/feature gaps (numbers, haptics, layout options), and a learning curve that can feel slower than a standard keyboard for some. The app is a loved, game‑changing alternative for many, but buyers should be aware of potential compatibility and feature gaps.
Pros
  • Significantly reduces fat fingering with larger keys and the familiar T9 style, making one‑handed typing easier.
  • Highly configurable: resizable keyboard, easy mode switches between tap, swipe, and manual modes; customizable word lists and suggestion order.
  • Nostalgic, fast‑feeling typing experience that many users enjoy over standard keyboards.
  • Strong word prediction/autocorrect with memory of learned words, keeping typos to a minimum.
  • Active developer support, clear tutorials, and good value for the price.
Cons
  • Compatibility and refund issues: some devices are incompatible or refunds are difficult, and upfront disclosure is lacking in some cases.
  • Inconsistent dictionary/prediction and autocomplete; occasional misspellings or incorrect word choices.
  • UI/layout gaps and feature gaps: cannot freely change layouts, no numbers shown on keys, lack of haptics, and missing features like stickers.
  • Learning curve and performance: can feel slower than a full keyboard for longer typing, with occasional stability issues (e.g., app cuts out).
  • Aesthetics/visuals not appealing to some users (layout looks odd or not pretty on certain backgrounds).
Recent reviews
This is the best app for writing in multiple languages. The old school T9 style is easy and has a great flow to it.

No more fat fingering! I use double tap. There is literally no desirable feature missing from this app! If you're having an issue, just run the app and go through the tutorial or message the developer. He is very attentive. Ok there is on feature I would like added--voice typing. And yes, I typed this review with the keyboard! Update 12/11/2018: Still the best keyboard. Makes touchscreen typing bearable! I prefer manual mode. Update 11/24/2021: I wouldn't type using any other keyboard. But I have one request...I would like to be able to set the amount of time to wait between key presses. 02/18/2026 still awesome. Keep it updated! I'll pay!
