i’m a behavior tech at a school, and this is such an amazing free alternative for an AAC device! i know insurance can be a pain, and a lot of families that i have worked with can’t afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a device/program, so this is amazing!

I’m a behavior analyst and navigating trying to get an AAC from the schools or an SLP through insurance can take forever. I explained to the parents how AACs, help increase children's vocal language as well as give them a mode for communicating which reduces problem behavior. I use this app to first teach a child by clearing off everything and starting with only five or so icons of things that the child really likes and usually wants. I then make a category that says I want which opens up to three more categories that says: to eat, to drink, and to play with. Then I start teaching full sentences with those categories, having buttons again of things that the child likes. 9/10 times, this is enough to get a child started until we can get a more robust program. All stop it get out go oh come on come on. Let’s go say hi in all most parents have a iPad or Kindle fire laying around and the app is free so it is a very low cost alternative to Proloquo at $300-$500. Thank you for making this app free you have helped teach at least 75 children how to communicate. :)
