User Reviews

Navigate eReader is praised for offline downloading, but plagued by reliability and usability issues. Core positives are offline access, glossary support, and the ability to resume reading. The most common complaints involve login failures, frequent crashes, weak annotation/highlighting features, inconsistent offline access due to server/internet problems, and a clunky UI with obstructive controls and slow navigation. Overall, stability and robust annotation tools are the key areas needing improvement.
Pros
  • Offline download and reading: users can download books and read without a constant internet connection.
  • Glossary lookups: tapping terms provides definitions within the app.
  • Resume reading: the app can open to the last location where the user left off (when it works).
Cons
  • Login/authentication problems: users report incorrect credentials issues and being unable to log in.
  • Frequent crashes and freezing: the app often becomes unresponsive or shuts down during use.
  • Annotation and highlighting issues: highlighting is cumbersome or non-functional, and writing notes is not reliably supported.
  • Connectivity/offline limitations: many users see no internet or server errors, or cannot access paid content reliably.
  • Poor UI/UX: reviews describe a clunky interface, excessive bottom controls, and laggy scrolling or navigation.

The pictures show that you should be able to write notes in the ereader book but I cannot figure out how to do that. It does not give me options to do that so it really makes it frustrating. It is nice to be able to take the book with me but I really need to make notations and highlights.

It doesn’t open 99% of the time. When logging it states problem with server.

This app is useless. It should just be deleted because you need the new version to do anything.
